Hey alla Y'all !
The bobber is coming along, BBUT, damn getting the electrics to be
hidden and look just right is a Biotch!!! Yes it will have all functions,
but I have run everything through the bars, through the frame and terminated
behind the transmission. It seemed like a really easy process until I
started to have to figure all the routing and device connections.....not as
easy as it looks folks. I'd much rather be fabricating a part or fitting
this and that. My ultimate goal was to keep a uncluttered front end, hence
the built in turn signal in the rear views .
Folks I've been a subscriber to American from day one, One thing I had
never seen was a how to on wiring a complete bike. I shot an email to the
editor and explained that they had never featured anything of the sort.
ANd got a response that it could be an idea for a future feature. The one
thing I notice in 99% of the custom magazine bobber builds is a lack of
front turnsignals---WOW that makes keeping the clean handlebars a cinch.
Why didn't I do that??? Because I can't get it titled without them, much
less get an inspection sticker. ( Brass balls, Zero engineering, Sucker
Punch, etc. has them because these are 50 state legal titled bikes). I
guess it's a pet peeve when I see bikes in magazines that couldn't be titled
here in La. (some don't even have a front brake)
Keep the HED buzzing!!
