Thank The Gypsies

In the Black Hills of South Dakota
   There comes a rumblin sound
   A little town called Sturgis
   The Jackpine Gypsies found

56 years ago at the start
   Not so commercial
   Just straight from the heart
That rumblin sound drew them all here
For the ride and the thrills
And to drink a few beers

One thing led to another and then
   They came by the thousands
For their old and new friends
   Well it's true that I wasn't
   There at the start
But the first time I went
   It captured my heart

   Seems there's never a moment
   You can't hear that noise
Makes the girls show their tits
And the men turn to boys
   So thanks to the Gypsies
   Of the Jackpine kind
For the ride and the noise
And the whole state of mind
